How to set up Microsoft Outlook with your new EMAIL

 

   1. Launch Outlook XP   Start -> All Programs à Microsoft Office à Outlook Email
   2. Select Tools -> E-mail Accounts
   3. Select Add a new e-mail account
   4. Click Next

5. Select POP3 as the Server Type and click Next.

USER & LOGIN INFORMATION

6. The E-mail accounts window appears. Type your full name beside Your Name

7. Type your full new E-mail address beside E-mail Address

       E.g. sales@yourdomainname.com.au  (enter your own domainname instead!!)

8. Type your full new E-mail address beside User Name

       E.g. sales@yourdomainname.com.au 

9. Type your account password in the Password field

Outlook Express Users: If you re using Outlook Express (mini version of Outlook) then you will not have a USER section as shown above. 

 

 

MAIL SERVER INFORMATION

10. Input the POP3 server (mail.yourdomainname.com) into the Incoming mail server field

11. Input the SMTP server of your ISP (e.g mail.bigpond.com) into the Outgoing mail server field

12. Click
Test Account Settings to run a test send/receive on your new email

      Correct typing/spelling errors if an error message is displayed.

 

13.  Then click Next if all ticks displayed. 


14. Click
Finish to exit the Internet Accounts window and your E-mail setup is complete
